Why should Christians care about peace in Jerusalem?

Because Scripture calls us to. Because it’s where Jesus walked, taught, and gave His life. Because it’s the birthplace of the Church and still holds deep meaning in God’s redemptive story.

We should remember that praying for Jerusalem isn’t about politics—it’s about people. It’s about honoring our spiritual heritage and joining in God’s heart for peace, justice, and restoration.

To pray for the peace of Jerusalem is to pray for all who live in and around it—to ask for a Peace that brings wisdom, protection, and salvation to every soul.
