Often, I want a step-by-step guide on how to accomplish something in life. But I run into unknowns. I get frazzled when the plan goes astray.
In Genesis, we are reminded there is no reason to ever get frustrated or anxious when plans don’t work. Why? Because God is for us— and He is the ultimate Planner.
Even from the beginning, as soon as mankind gets in trouble, God enacts a plan that is devil-proof.
In the third chapter of the first book of the Bible, there are three foreshadowing verses that reassure us— God has a plan. Always.
If you could use the reminder that God has plans to prosper and protect you— check out His track record of doing just that, since the beginning of time.
A snake (Satan) tempts human-kind into sin. But, Jesus will later come to step on the head of the snake; a heel that will take a nail to it. (Genesis 3:15)
Because Adam ate the fruit, the land will be cursed and produce thorns. Yet, A crown of thorns will later be placed on the head of Jesus. (Genesis 3:17-18)
In Genesis 3:21, the first animal sacrifice is recorded, making the importance of sacrifices known. A greater Sacrifice will come later in the Gospels to save us all.
God is so amazing. Even from the beginning, He is planning for the end.
I’m going to stop drafting, designing, and devising so much. Instead, I will pray, praise, and let Him plan. Clearly, He’s very good at it.
